The jhalar gown is a masterpiece crafted entirely from vibrant threads in an iconic Rajasthan pink, also known as Indian pink or Rani pink - the regal colour of queens. The design draws inspiration from the free-flowing jhalar tassels swaying gracefully in the desert breeze, with long threads intricately embroidered on delicate tulle. These layers of embroidered jhalars envelop the gown, creating the effect of magnified, cascading tassel that embraces the wearer. With its movement, fluidity and vibrancy, as the final look for volume I, I wanted to craft a piece that stands as a heartfelt ode to the vibrant spirit of Rajasthan.
